The county Fire Marshal's published burning regulations list household garbage among materials that shall not be burned, citing DEQ air regulations chapter 130.

Scope and exceptions

This answer is limited to ordinary open household-garbage disposal in Prince William County. Independent Manassas and Manassas Park, enclosed regulated equipment and special operations are outside its scope. It grants no permit or permission to burn other materials, and does not determine today's emergency restrictions.
