Debris-pile burn permit rule
Powhatan County's published Burn Laws page says debris piles larger than 8 feet long, 8 feet wide and 4 feet deep require a county burn permit. This is the published size rule, not permission to burn or an exemption for smaller piles.
Conditions and limits
The published rule specifies length, width and depth. It does not establish a volume-only cutoff or exempt smaller piles. Current bans, materials, zoning and permit conditions still apply.
