Page County, Virginia
What a declared county burn ban prohibits
When Page County issues a burn-ban declaration under Section 56-1, the declaration makes it unlawful to burn brush, grass, leaves, trash, debris, any other flammable material, or to ignite or maintain any open fire in the part of the county covered by the declaration. The restriction remains until the county rescinds it.
Conditional rule, not today's status
The ordinance defines the scope after Page County issues a declaration. It does not say that a declaration is active now. Current county notices, Virginia law, material rules, air quality, weather, permits and emergency orders remain separate checks.
Official ordinance reviewed September 19, 2026. Missing, changed or unavailable source evidence never becomes permission to burn.
